It’s Time To Vote – Week 4 – 2014 Block of the Month Challenge!

Week #3 votes are in, and the winner is the Red version of the Tours de Jardin! While we had a lot of votes, only a handful of you let us know you voted. Be sure to let us know – this way you can be included in the special Voters Giveaway we will have at the end of the voting! If you’ve been keeping track like we have, the winners are the A-Z for week 1, the Black Hot Flashes in week 2, and the Red Tours de Jardin in week 3. So, for week 4, we are mixing things up just a bit …

Quilt-Combo-41847 Baltimore Brides Antique Wool Quilt or Floral Beauty Wool Quilt?    I love the look of both of these quilts .. and I’ve seen the originals up close … and these pictures just will never do them justice!    Two totally different types of designs, you can se how talented each of the designers are.

The Baltimore Brides Quilt, by Jackie Apessos, is unique because it is wool applique on cotton flannel.  The old style motifs are clean and really showcase the heirlooms made in the 1800s.

But, then there’s the Floral Beauty!  The quilt, called The Original Thymes, is a detailed look into a Wild Thymes Garden!  The intricate florals and unique outer border really make this a more modern type quilt than the Baltimore Brides.  The Original Thymes is all wool on wool.  Two totally different quilts, each an Heirloom to be passed on from generation to generation!

NOTE:  Along with the Poll, please let us know “I Voted” in the Comments Section so we can have a special give away at the end of the Challenge!

It’s Time for Tuesday’s Talkabout! Blogs, Creations, $20 Gift Drawing and More!

Tuesday's Talkabout - where we show what were all dabbling, babbling and gabbying in! Hello again!  We are so excited about this week’s Tuesday’s Talkabout – we have a great customer blog to feature, plus we’ve been busy adding lots of new items this week – so grab your favorite relaxing drink, and let’s get started!  Also, be sure o follow our blog on the right so you don’t miss a thing!

This week’s Customer Creation is by Cindy M.  Do you recognize Moda’s Maypole Fabric from several years ago?  This is one of our exclusive kits, and it looks like Cindy is ready to get this baby quilted.  Also, if you look up, you can see another of Cindy’s creations on the wall.  Looks like she is a busy little quilter.  Thank you for sharing, Cindy!

Next, we finally decided on this week’s Customer Blog.  It has been so fun to see what so many of you are up to, and rather than just picking our favorite, we are now just deciding randomly.  We continue to receive links to your blogs, so please keep them coming!   And .. all the way from Italy, we are featuring this lovely blog by Chiara.  http://lafabbricadelleidee-chiara.blogspot.it/   Loving those pincushions!

Julie’s Creation

Now, Julie, a key member on our Creative Team, is always busy making, creating, or just thinking of something.  This week I am happy to show you one of my favorites that she’s done (OK .. had to be somewhat random with this, too, as I love everything she does!).   Don’t you just love Robyn Pandolph’s fabrics?  This is such a soft quilt, and it was much easier to make than it looks (Julie always finds quicker and easier short-cuts than the patterns call for!).  Thank you Julie — I know we have lots more to see!

Homespun Hearth Haps — Did I mention we’ve been crazy busy lately?  Well, we found what might be called a ‘junk’ drawer (OK, not junk!), full of goodies that never made it online!  So many fun things have been added, but my favorite are the Hand Made Clay Buttons.   But, I want to know what is your favorite item that we’ve added.  So, let us know in the comments section, which of the New Items is your favorite, and next Tuesday we will have a quick drawing, and one of you will win a $20 Gift Certificate!

Giveway – Earn your Chance!  We are still taking entries for our 2013 5th Annual Give Away!  Every day there are little things you can do to keep adding to your chances to win.  I’m thinking that just about every one of us could use $250 in fabrics, or kits, or notions … and, there are additional great prizes, too!

We thank you for joining us this week.  Don’t forget to look at all of the newest items, and let us know which is your favorite.  You could win a $20 Gift Certificate!

It’s Time To Vote – Week 3 Block of the Month Challenge!

Blue or Red?
Let’s cool things down some.   The last quilt, Hot Flashes, had a clear winner with the Black winning 80% to 20% of the votes!  I don’t suppose I’m that surprised since that black really sets off those colors.  Once again, thank you for voting.    Also, be sure to follow our blog (to the right) so you Don’t Miss a Thing!

Tours-des-Jardin

You Choose!

Blue or Red.  This is a difficult choice when you compare both of these beautiful quilts!  I’m not sure which is my favorite, but I think for my guestroom, I would go with the Blue.  What about you?  This quilt, called Tour des Jardin, translated to Round of Garden,  is a blend of the romantic Tour des Fleurs fabrics and a whimsical design by Holly Hill Quilts.  Luckily for all of you, we are offering both colors as a BOM.

Reminder:  So, along with the Poll, please let us know “I Voted” in the Comments Section so we can have a special give away at the end of the BOM Challenge!

New! Tuesday’s Talkabout! Blogs, Creations, Instant Cash and More!

Tuesday's Talkabout - where we show what were all dabbling, babbling and gabbying in! Hello and Happy Tuesday!  Today we start our new Tuesday’s Talkabout, where every week we’ll feature how we and you, our remarkable customers, are keeping busy.   For the past few weeks we have been gathering information that you have sent us …  your blogs, your creations, and your favorite Homespun Hearth products.   So, grab a cuppa (my favorite is a non-fat vanilla latte … what’s yours?), get comfy, and let’s just enjoy some time together!

Robbie S - Colorado

Beautiful Purse from Robbie

Customer Creations:  To start, we want to show you a picture of a beautiful purse that one of our retreat customers made.  She recently purchased some of the Colors of the Wind fabric from Homespun Hearth, and what a gorgeous purse she made!  The design is from a Butterick pattern (wish we could take credit!)  – we love the whimsical nature of the purse that was such a great fit for this fabric – thank you Robbie S from our home state of Colorado!

Customer Blogs:   What a great response we had when we asked our customers to send us their blog links – and they keep rolling in!  It’s pretty impressive to know that we have so many industrious customers out there.    For this inaugural talkabout, we are excited to reveal the first blogger, Martha.  Living in Baxter MN, Martha is a mother of two and grandmother of three.  She enjoys quilting, sewing, and card-making.  Her blog shows that she’s pretty darn busy sewing .. and like us, trying to keep those fingers moving on these cold days.  Why don’t you pop in on her and let her know that Homespun Hearth sent you – I’m sure she’ll appreciate the visit!  You can view Martha’s “Sew What’s New” blog here Thank you for sharing, Martha!

Untitled-3

Holly’s Creation

Our Team Creations:  We also want to highlight some of the creations that folks on our team have been making.  I asked them to take pictures of all of the things they’ve made that they have in their homes.  Oh My –they’ve been busy, too (and I can’t imagine where they find the time …)!  The first creation I’m going to showcase is a quilt that Holly made.  Holly is the newest addition to the HSH team, and while she wears many hats, she is being groomed to be our Marketing Director.  We’ve learned that Holly is drawn to bright colors, and that she loves stripes and polka dots – I think this quilt really represents Holly in that it is fun and cheerful!

Untitled-4

Savannah by Jo Morton

Homespun Hearth Haps:  Every November we focus our time on our Give Back Giveaways.  This is our 5th annual Giveaway, and we are amazed at how many of you are getting your names entered into the drawing, as well as making Pinterest boards, pinning images, liking us on Facebook and adding posting blogs.  You’ve been voting for your favorite BOMs each week, downloading offers from Facebook, and overall coming to Homespun Hearth for many of your quilting and 2014 planning needs!   We think you are all winners, so thank you for being a part of this fun event

What’s New:  But, for today I want to show you the latest fabric collection we put online .. the Civil War Savannah fabric by Jo Morton  We love the blues and browns of this gorgeous fabric, and the focal floral fabric is so strikingly beautiful!   I’m really eyeballing that focal floral for some home dec …

Bonus and More!  So, today 11/12/13 is my birthday!  I only mention it because I think the date is so cool … and I don’t think it will happen like this again in a VERY long time .. at least not that I’ll be able to appreciate 🙂   My son always says that I’m 29 (love that kid!), but last night he did mention that it’s getting a bit creepy … since he’s now 16 (and my oldest is 21!)  But to celebrate the fact that it is 11/12/13 we are offering a really cool discount!  Today through Friday, receive $11 Instant Cash Back on any order over $75 (Promotion Code 11solo), $23 Instant Cash Back on any order over $137 (Promotion Code 11and12) , and $36 Instant Cash Back on any order over $200 (Promotion Code 111213).  You must enter/redeem the corresponding code in the Promotion box with you check out.  All orders must be placed NLT 11:59pm EST on 11/15/2013

Thank you for viewing.  Be sure to Follow our Quilter’s Vine Blog (to the right) so you Don’t Miss a Thing!  Plus, follow us on Pinterest, and Like us on Facebook.  Oh, and if you love what we do, we really hope you’ll tell a friend.  If not, tell me, and I’ll fix it!

It’s Time to Vote- Challenge #2!

Which One is the "Hottest" one for you?

VOTE – Which one is the “Hottest” for You? Black or White?

Black or White?
The competition is starting to Heat Up (no pun intended!), with the Dueling of the Hot Flashes Quilt Kits!  Featuring Clothwork’s Shades Fabrics with a backdrop of a colorful confetti on the black and white to give this quilt even more dimension, this is the perfect quilt to brighten up even the moodiest days.  These quilts each measure 69″ x 87″ – the perfect Twin, and it is a great Sampler quilt for the Intermediate quilts.

We did learn something, though, on our first Vote between the A to E and Bertie quilts … while the Poll was great (and easy!) to tally up the votes, we weren’t able to keep track of who voted… and that makes prize giving a little bit difficult!

NOTE:  So, along with the Poll, please let us know “I Voted” in the Comments Section so we can have a special give away at the end of the Challenge!

First vote Black or White in the Poll and then leave a Comment – I voted !
